These terms apply to the RideYellow Help Desk: the text and voice support line drivers use, and the web platform staff sign in to. By texting our support number or signing in, you agree to them.
1.Who provides this service
The Help Desk is provided by Administrative Services Cooperative, Inc. (“ASC”, “we”) for itself and its affiliated Yellow Cab offices — California Yellow Cab (Orange County), San Diego Yellow, and Metro Taxi (Denver) — with technology provided by Rylo Technologies.
2.Who may use it
The support line is for drivers operating under our authority and for our staff. The web platform is invite-only and restricted to authorised employees and contractors. Do not share your sign-in with anyone, and do not publish our support number as a general public contact.
3.Not for emergencies
Do not use the support line for emergencies. If there is an accident, a medical issue, a crime, a fire, or any threat to safety, call 911 first, then notify dispatch immediately. The support line is monitored on a best-effort basis and messages may not be seen right away.
4.How the support line works
An automated assistant reads incoming messages, answers common questions, and can trigger routine remote fixes such as restarting your tablet or payment terminal. Anything it cannot resolve is logged and passed to office staff.
The assistant is automated and can be wrong. Nothing it says changes co-op policy, your dues, your pay, or your work eligibility, and it is not a substitute for instructions from your office. If a reply looks incorrect, ask for a person.
5.Messaging terms
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Opting out does not affect your standing with the co-op.
6.Your responsibilities as a driver
Give us the correct cab number — remote restarts are sent to the cab you identify, and a wrong number affects another driver’s vehicle. Documents you send must be genuine, current, and your own. Do not send abusive content, and do not use the line to harass staff or other drivers. We may stop responding to a number that is misused.
7.Remote actions on in-cab equipment
Restarts and similar actions are provided on a best-effort basis and depend on the tablet being powered and connected. A restart may briefly interrupt dispatch or card payments in that vehicle. If a remote fix does not work, the vehicle needs to come to the office during office hours.
8.Documents and work eligibility
Sending a document to the support line records it for review; it does not by itself clear a hold or change your status. Approvals are made by staff, and work eligibility lives in our dispatch and back-office systems. Allow normal office hours for review.
9.Staff and administrator terms
Driver information in the platform is confidential and may be used only to do your job. Keep your credentials private and use your own account — actions are logged against the signed-in user. Do not export or forward driver data outside approved systems. Access is removed when your role changes or ends.
10.Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or withdraw any part of the Help Desk at any time, including phone numbers and automated features. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
11.Intellectual property
The Help Desk, its software, and the RideYellow and Yellow Cab marks belong to us or our affiliates. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or build a competing service from it.
12.Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Help Desk is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that automated replies will be accurate or that messages will be delivered.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost earnings, arising from your use of or inability to use the Help Desk. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. Where you have signed a separate agreement with us — a co-op membership, lease, or employment agreement — that agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms, including any dispute-resolution provisions it contains.
14.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continuing to use the Help Desk after a change means you accept the updated terms.
